Fish schooling, like starling bird murmuration, requires what is called scale-free correlation. The fish move together with a "swarm intelligence", similar to herds of animals on land. Watch these videos and THINK about how we, as earthly mammals, could become scale-free. Perhaps these groups of fish (and birds) have something to teach us about forming a global community.

The Secrets of Fish Schooling
LIFE CAN BE hard for a fish. That is why many species don’t go it alone. Instead, they group together in schools that can range from a dozen individuals to millions. Once they’re formed, these groups become like superorganisms with collective behavior that responds to threats and stimuli. Schools can even develop new senses and capacities that no one individual fish possesses.
THIS MODEL IS VERY IMPORTANT AS A MODEL FOR HUMANS.
